Who Are Ya? (MLS)
Bojan Krkić
How some football fans and pundits have the nerve to describe Bojan’s career as a disappointment is beyond me. By the age of 20/21 he had picked up 10 trophies in a Barcelona squad which many claim to be the ‘greatest team of all-time’. Along with the trophies and wins, he also played alongside some of the best footballers to ever grace a pitch; Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Henry, Puyol, David Villa and Zlatan to name a few, whilst being managed by Pep Guardiola.
I do understand the criticism that perhaps he never reached the potential of becoming the ‘next Lionel Messi’, and admittedly I’m not sure he did cut it on a cold Thursday night in Stoke. However, after winning everything conceivable at Barca, he took some brave career moves to try and earn first team football, and the label of the next Messi is a curse for most. Honestly, I don’t watch too much of the MLS, however with Henry in charge, and Bojan leading their attacks, Montreal Impact can surely play some good football.
