It was of course Dimitri Payet, and those unforgettable 48 league games for West Ham where he set the league alight with his talent. West Ham haven’t really recovered in an attacking sense since this man left them behind, and his impact will not be forgotten.
Nowadays however, he is back in Ligue 1 and back with his beloved Marseille side that he was desperate to return to. His recent season has again demonstrated his quality and hopefully with a decent league season last year Marseille will enjoy a few more years of his talent with a recent contract extension for the incredible footballer.
