POTM (Premier League) – January 2023

January saw the return to centre-stage for club football, after the World Cup, and Christmas period has come to a close, it’s full steam ahead in the club game, as the league and domestic competitions are all hitting full stride heading into the new year, and as a result, some players have started the calendar year in a rich vein of form.

Marcus Rashford has had a very strong start to the year, as United won 6/8 games played across all competitions, as the domestic cups still offer a chance for United to flex their attacking muscles. In the league, a win over rivals City was the standout, however a late equaliser against Palace and late goal against Arsenal to lose the game overshadow some of the cup performances. Rashford however has been consistent in his performances and goals, bagging 3 goals in the 4 league games, and 7 goals across all competitions for the month. A strong start to the year as United head for a chance at silverware next month.
