POTM: Europe (February 2026)

February despite being the shortest month, has been a packed few weeks of action in the world of European football, with European competition, domestic league and cup games all taking place as teams begin to prepare their run-in and fight for places and points. As a result, we’ve seen some standout performers this month, but one player certainly stands out from the bunch.
Harry Kane has reached another month of scintillating form as he cannot stop scoring in February, bagging 9 goals in 5 games across all competitions, bagging a brace in each of his 4 league outings. Along with this, he also bagged an assist as Bayern remained the dominant force in Germany, winning 5 out of 5 ad looking good ahead of their upcoming Champions League clash.

February 8th: Bayern Munich 5-1 Hoffenheim – Kicking off the month with the first of 4 braces, Kane was perfect from the penalty spot as he bagged 2/2 from first half spot-kicks. Although teammate Luis Diaz will take the plaudits for his hat-trick, Kane’s brace and assist make this another strong performance as 10-man Hoffenheim were dismantled.
February 14th: Werder Bremen 0-3 Bayern Munich – After once again scoring from the spot in the DFB Pokal game against RB Leipzig, another brace beckoned Kane as he bagged 2/3 of the goals away at Werder Bremen, the first of which again came from the penalty spot as he managed 4 penalties in 3 games to start the month. His first open play goal followed 5 minutes later however as Kane reached his 500th league goal in the clash and helped Bayern regain their lead at the top of the table.
February 21st: Bayern Munich 3-2 Eintracht Frankfurt – The first brace for Kane this month from open play didn’t take too long as he made it 2-0 in the 20th minute and then rounded off proceedings in the 68th minute, despite a late comeback attempt by Frankfurt, Kane’s efforts put Bayern 9 points clear and out of reach.
February 28th: Borussia Dortmund 2-3 Bayern Munich – In a top of the table clash, Bayern moved 11 points clear as Kane bagged goals number 8 and 9 for the month, one again from the spot, but his brace turning the game on it’s head as Bayern came from behind to lead. There was late drama as Dortmund made it 2-2 before the late Kimmich winner, but Kane’s work was done as he simply could not stop scoring.
