We are getting towards the end of the first year of NextGoalWinner.com, and this will be the 100th post on the blog. So, it felt like a time to celebrate and acknowledge the year that has been. This blog started with the primary purpose of being a time-killer over lockdown while football was on hiatus, and a whole 365 days later, it’s still a time-killer over lockdown however now we have football back. In all seriousness, it is a genuine fun activity for me as I enjoy getting creative by thinking up and producing all posts each week. Quite frankly, the fact anyone has ever clicked on the site is mind-boggling and I hope those who do read through things enjoy what I have produced.

In the space of 1 year and 100 posts, I have written over 100,000 words, produced several quizzes, discovered more information about football and its obscurities, played and spoken a lot about Football Manager and lots more.

I plan on continuing this blog for a lot longer as I want to improve my writing and creativity whilst also having the creative outlet to enjoy each week. Alongside the blog, I have opened an Etsy store which will be undergoing an update in the coming weeks with many new items being uploaded, I am hoping to produce some video content and also I want to update and maintain the social media accounts for the blog. The football social media world is often horrific and full of garbage, however there are some genuinely interesting moments and fantastic football creators that I would like to be more engaged with.
