NextGoalWinner Update

NextGoalWinner Update

With the latest season of club football coming to an end, and with the World Cup and a huge summer of transfer activity to come, we decided this week would be a great time to update the NextGoalWinner page and accounts with some updated plans for our content and output.

Given the huge summer of football we have to come ahead of another unpredictable and exciting season to take place later in the year, we’re updating our blog post schedule to cover even more of the action both on and off the pitch, we have more social platforms than ever before with regular posts and interactions for you to enjoy and get involved with, and our video output is continuing with a few tweaks and hopeful improvements to come later this summer.

As always if you have anything you want to see discussed on the blog, or want to get involved in any way then you can get in touch with us through the website, email or on our social channels to get involved and join us at NextGoalWinner.

Blog

On NextGoalWinner, we have spent the last year ensuring 3 regular posts each week covering all the key moments both on and off the pitch. However, this only limited our posts to specific key moments and reduced our flexibility to discuss some of the more unusual stories that we hoped to feature more at the start of the page.

With that in mind, we’re doubling down on the output on the blog, moving to 6 posts per week between Monday-Saturday (we’re taking a break on the Sunday however), and this will allow us to continue all the stuff we did last season including Premier League gameweek reviews, Manchester United game reviews, our regular POTM awards and also the European round-ups we’ve done for the last season, but now we can also add in even more to this schedule with plenty of ideas already fizzing around for future posts.

With the extended output it’s a big undertaking given the one-man operation of NextGoalWinner, and so we will be putting out a call later this week to see if there’s any interest in others getting involved, submitting their works for publishing on the page. We’d love to get people involved with stories to share, so if you have ever wanted to do a bit of writing around football please get in touch as we’d love to begin working with others.

Socials

If you don’t already follow us on Instagram, Bluesky, X and TikTok then what have you been doing???

We put out daily Instagram content sharing what posts have been published on the blog, but also a few other bits and pieces including hopefully some video content as we test out a few reels this summer. Meanwhile, our Bluesky and X content covers everything going on around the footballing world including transfer rumours and deals, TV schedules for the big games, debates and polls to get involved in and a lot of interaction with fellow football obsessives. Finally, our TikTok page has been up and running for a couple of months in which we share our usual quiz videos for you to test your footballing knowledge.

Video

For our video output we are continuing to put out 3 quiz videos on YouTube and TikTok each week (Tuesday-Thursday-Sunday) in which we test your footballing knowledge with a variety of short quiz videos for you to enjoy. We will be continuing this for the summer and beyond with more to come, and will also be looking to expand out our video content further next season and again would love for others to be involved if there’s anyone out there fancying getting in front of a camera to share some great footballing stories and talking points.

If you haven’t already checked these out, you can use the links below for our accounts, or use the tab on the top of the page to get instant access to our YouTube channel and have a look through some of these videos.

Etsy

Finally, if you are in the market for some football related greeting cards for someone’s special day, we have you covered with 100s of designs and custom requests available. With several 5 star reviews, we’ve got our Etsy page set up to cover a variety of occasions in which you can celebrate that someone special with a football related card they’re sure to love.
