Maguire For England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Harry Maguire had dr Maguire For England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Harry Maguire had dropped out of the England contention in recent years after Manchester United dropped off, and Maguire battled through selection issues and injuries. It had seemed like the days of Maguire-Stones as England’s centre back pairing were done, however the recent upturn in form from the defender under Carrick has brought him back into the conversation alongside his teammates in Mainoo and Shaw.

Given all 3 of these options are starting most games in the Premier League, and proving to be valuable members of this United refresh, Maguire could really give Tuchel the ability of rotation in defence, the set-piece threat needed late on and a leadership and personality that could really help the next generation of players following this tournament.

Do you think Maguire should be in England’s World Cup squad this summer? And do you think both Mainoo and Shaw should be joining him?

Manchester United: West Ham United (Premier League Manchester United: West Ham United (Premier League) ✍️

Although Manchester United’s winning run under Carrick came to an end against West Ham, it was a battle between 2 in-form sides, while the hosts held a solid defensive unit which limited the visitors attacking promise. With the game drifting away and Manchester United looking down the barrel of a defeat, the arrival of Sesko into the game proved to be the equalising factor as he produced a terrific finish demonstrating his promise and quality in key moments once again.

Good Or Bad? 👍👎 With 26 games gone, and just 12 r Good Or Bad? 👍👎

With 26 games gone, and just 12 remaining, there is still a debate on how this season has been in the Premier League. With some arguing that a lot of teams have been underwhelming compared to the recent dominance of the leaders, others would argue that a closer Premier League table makes things more competitive and therefore a better spectacle.

How would you rate the season so far? Do you think it’s proven to be underwhelming? Or do you think the added competitiveness has led to a better narrative for many teams?

Relegation Battle 📉 With the current state of th Relegation Battle 📉

With the current state of the Premier League, it feels like 2/3 teams are all-but confirmed for their relegation. Wolves and Burnley are likely already planning for next season in the Championship, while the 3rd and final spot remains undecided. West Ham currently sit in the drop zone, and with them needing to make up points in order to leapfrog Forest, it’s becoming questionable whether Leeds or even Tottenham could be dragged into the battle in the late stages of the season.

Who do you think will be in the drop zone when the season concludes? Do you see West Ham being able to escape? Could a miracle happen for Burnley or Wolves? Or do you think we have the 3 teams already confirmed?

Turning 3 wins out of 3, into 4 wins from 4, Manchester United brushed off this bogey-team narrative against Tottenham as they dominated throughout Saturday lunchtime’s clash at Old Trafford. With a bit of good fortune from Spurs’ rash decision making, United could hold complete control against the 10-man opposition, and with the team full of confidence, it was an assured outing full of flair and enjoyment that has lacked at Old Trafford in recent years.

Midfield Options 🟥 Manchester United need to be p Midfield Options 🟥

Manchester United need to be planning for a big summer, and with a permanent manager to appoint, they also need to manage a squad turnover as several players will likely be moving on, while the replacements need to be instant successes. The midfield is key to this, as with Casemiro becoming a standout player again in 2026, his departure has already been announced, while questions remain over Ugarte and even Bruno Fernandes in the next few years. Even Kobbie Mainoo had seemed to be on his way out, before the Carrick spell has seen him back in favour and a key feature of the squad.

With United likely to lose at least 2 midfielders this summer, the list of replacements makes for interesting reading, with 3 names being standout options for this summer:

▪️Elliot Anderson
▪️Adam Wharton
▪️Carlos Baleba

As their respective clubs will likely hold out for a large fee on any move this summer, a World Cup year could also see a price increase in the market, while other elite teams are also showing interest in these targets.

Of the names mentioned, or with any other possible player, who do you think United should be bringing in this summer to refresh their options in midfield?

Week 25 of the Premier League season provided us with some really interesting matchups for the league narrative. With the sides at risk of relegation facing off, there were some interesting matches up the table which could have seen Villa drop away from any title race conversations and start looking over their shoulder, while City also seemed to be out of the conversation until a late comeback sees them firmly in the battle.

Manchester United: Fulham (Premier League) ✍️ The Manchester United: Fulham (Premier League) ✍️

The winning run goes on!

While Manchester United faced a very different challenge from their opening games under Carrick, as they hosted Fulham at Old Trafford, United managed the game well and once again escaped a game against their London opposition perhaps feeling a bit fortunate but with all 3 points.

With the winning start to Carrick’s interim run continuing, they have some more tricky obstacles to come, but United now look in pole position for a Champions League spot, while the questions over the clubs long-term managerial future continue to swirl in the background.

Manchester United: Arsenal (Premier League) ✍️ Mi Manchester United: Arsenal (Premier League) ✍️

Michael Carrick just loves these big games in the dugout!

After the huge win and performance against Manchester City, an arguably trickier tie away at Arsenal who were looking comfortable both at the top of the domestic and European tables, however they were made to look poor as United bagged a 3-2 victory.

With some stunning strikes for United against the physical, set-piece nature of Arsenal, there seems to be a genuine feeling of optimism around the club despite having no European or domestic cup games, and just eyes on the Champions League spots come the end of the season.

If this is Michael Carrick’s audition for the permanent job, he is passing with flying colours so far.

Too Late? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 With the 2026 World Cup just o Too Late? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

With the 2026 World Cup just over 130 days away from kick-off, there are still many huge questions around the tournament, not just in terms of the actual tournament and host nation, but for England and Thomas Tuchel, the question over starting XI and spaces on the plane.

As the league has now just 15 rounds of games to go, it’s hitting a period where a late run of form for a player could well be enough to earn a spot in the squad, as Tuchel will largely stick to his big name choices, but would be sensible to take players who are in a hot streak.

With that said, it might be argued that aside from injuries, Tuchel could have a lot of his squad confirmed in his mind ahead of the final international break of the season.

As things stand, do you think anyone could produce a late burst of form to put themselves into contention for the World Cup squad? Or do you think it’s now too late to make much of a difference for Tuchel’s selection?
