After a breathless clash with Bournemouth, a trip to Villa Park proved to be a tricky fixture as United played their final game before Christmas. With a solid performance across the 90 minutes, defensive lapses and a few injuries mean United leave with another wasted chance to move into the Champions League places, and set the team up for a tricky run of games into the new year with AFCON and injury concerns across the XI.

Record Breakers 😬 With Wolverhampton Wanderers r Record Breakers 😬

With Wolverhampton Wanderers rock bottom of the league table, and looking destined for a drop down to the second-tier, they’ve got protests against their ownership, had a change in manager, and lost a huge amount of talent in their squad in recent years. As a result, their target likely now becomes avoiding the unwanted Derby County record of just 11 points from their 07-8 season.

With the team looking miles off it, and seemingly defeated before games have even kicked-off, do you think they will break the record for lowest Premier League points? Or will we see a much improved second half of the season as they scrap their way past the total, maybe even to safety?

Manchester United: Bournemouth (Premier League) ✍️ Manchester United: Bournemouth (Premier League) ✍️

Coming off of their morale boosting win over Wolves last Monday, it was yet more Monday night football for United as they hosted Bournemouth, a side that have been equally as inconsistent as United, but capable of causing major issues for United at Old Trafford as we’ve seen in recent clashes

With this game being a final chance for United to have their best starting XI available before AFCON, this game was huge for defining how the next month will be looked at for United, whether they are genuine European contenders, or if they can’t be relied upon to build momentum and consistency. While those questions haven’t been fully answered from the game itself, we certainly have a bit of a clue following the fixture.

Mo Salah 🇪🇬 After the Mo Salah post-match interv Mo Salah 🇪🇬

After the Mo Salah post-match interview that took the world of football by storm, the speculation over his future will certainly be the main talking point of the next few weeks. With a unique situation in which the star player of the side for many years, is clashing with a manager still early in his tenure, who brought instant success last season but issues rising this year so far.

To add more fuel to the fire, Salah jets off for the AFCON tournament shortly, which means he will be conducting more interviews as the face of his nation, while international duty often frees up players to talk more openly, which as a neutral I’m very much hoping for.

With the upcoming departure for Salah, and January return when the window will be open, do you think we’ve seen the last appearance for Mo Salah in a Liverpool shirt? Or do you think the club will try and patch things up for a summer sale instead?

With week 16 seeing us in the middle of December and nearing the half-way point of the season, and for many players their final opportunity to feature before departing for AFCON, we had some intriguing matchups. We had 1st vs 20th as Arsenal hosted Wolves, A Tyne-Wear derby which is something the league has missed in recent seasons, tricky tests for City, Liverpool and Chelsea and at the bottom of the table, a chance for a few teams to escape the drop zone, or drag a few teams closer to it.

Best Region 🌍 Without wanting to give the FIFA m Best Region 🌍

Without wanting to give the FIFA maniacs any more stupid ideas, but if there was to be a ‘best XI’ for each region across the world, which area would win in a tournament? Think of combining all of Europe’s best players into one side, South America combining to form a formidable squad or Asia combining to create a solid XI.

If this tournament was to be set up, who do you think would come out on top? And who would make the European XI to enter the competition?
