World Cup 2022: AI Preview
As the 2022 World Cup looms, we are all making our final predictions about who we think will win, who will be the dark horses, and which nations will crash and burn early in the tournament. With so much to consider as the ‘festival of football’ is just days away, we have been constantly changing out minds and getting a little bit overexcited with what’s about to come.
As humans we are often led by biases and personal feeling towards teams/players/managers, and so we’ve had the idea to remove this, and leave it to technology to predict and preview. Using an AI writing site, we have compiled an AI World Cup 2022 Preview. We have used this site to put together our preview, and obviously there may be errors and mistakes in there, but we have left them in as we didn’t want to influence or impact the writing in any form.
So, using only the phrase ‘Preview the 2022 World Cup’, this is what AI thinks will happen.

World Cup 2022 Preview
The 2022 World Cup, set to take place in Qatar, is one of the most highly anticipated sporting events of the year. As the tournament draws closer, fans and experts alike are eagerly speculating on which teams will emerge as favourites to win the trophy. In this preview, we will take a closer look at some of the top contenders and dark horses to watch out for in the tournament.
One of the early favourites to win the tournament is defending champions France. The French squad, led by star players such as Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann, is coming off a successful run in the UEFA Nations League, where they finished top of their group. With a strong defence and a deep midfield, France looks poised to make a deep run in the tournament.
Another team that is expected to make waves in the tournament is Brazil. The Brazilian team, boasting a wealth of attacking talent including Neymar, Roberto Firmino, and Gabriel Jesus, is always a threat to score. They also have a solid defence anchored by the likes of Thiago Silva and Marquinhos. Brazil will be looking to avenge their disappointing quarterfinal exit in the 2018 World Cup and capture their sixth trophy.
Another contender to watch out for is Belgium. The Red Devils have a talented squad featuring the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard, and Romelu Lukaku. They have consistently been ranked among the top teams in the world over the past few years, and they will be looking to make a statement in Qatar.
One team that could surprise many is Portugal. The 2016 European champions have a talented squad led by superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. They also have a solid defence and midfield, and they will be looking to make a deep run in the tournament.
As always, there are several dark horses to watch out for in the tournament. These include Uruguay, who reached the quarterfinals in the 2018 World Cup, and Croatia, who surprised many by reaching the final in the same tournament. Other teams that could cause upsets include Mexico, Senegal and Denmark.
Overall, the 2022 World Cup is shaping up to be a thrilling tournament, with several top teams vying for the trophy. As always, there are sure to be surprises and upsets along the way, making this tournament one of the most exciting sporting events of the year.
Review
Overall I was pretty impressed by this preview from AI, although missing a bit of detail rather than just giving an overview of the big nations and their key players. Also, I think they have missed off some strong contenders (Argentina, England, Spain, Germany), but perhaps I needed to expand on asking a more specific phrase/question to get this.
I think the accuracy is quite surprising that there weren’t any glaring errors, and actually although brief in length/detail, it’s a fairly decent preview of the tournament.
