2022 Plans & Beyond…

Well, 2021 has been a series of ups and downs to say the least, both in the footballing world and society in general. As we wind down on the year and begin to reflect, we at NextGoalWinner are primarily looking ahead at our next steps and plans for the coming year. While our minds start to create and sketch out some big plans for the next year, we want to share with our readers some of the plans coming in 2022.

First of all, our twice weekly posts will continue every Monday and Friday featuring the usual good stuff and some new features and stories coming. These posts will focus on some more long-form content, further developed stories and pieces and fresh ideas. Meanwhile, the writing will hopefully allow us to share stories from other writers, and we also would love to make some additional content for sites elsewhere and really be able to finetune my personal football writing ability by collaboration and developing my writing style/technique.

Alongside the writing on-site, our social media will be undergoing a Christmas revamp, with Instagram, Twitter and even YouTube being overhauled and refreshed to enable us to reach a wider audience and produce more than just written works and move into image and video possibilities… so make sure you give us a follow on all formats.

Our Etsy shop is also ready to go with a new updated look and tons of new cards, prints and other works in the pipeline so if you’re planning out any upcoming birthday’s or prepping for valentines head over there and get a card for the football fan in your life.

Finally, as mentioned before, I am on the hunt for potential collaborations and potential interviews that I could conduct in the start of 2022. If you have any works you would like featured get in touch, or if you have a specific interviewee you’d love us to chat to, let us know and we will see what we can do.

Overall, I just want to thank anyone who has read, scrolled through or purchased any of my work in the past year. I began NextGoalWinner just over a year ago in the first lockdown, and never expected I’d be able to keep up with the consistency of it, and definitely didn’t expect to get as much joy from producing the works as I do. So to anyone who has interacted with anything from NextGoalWinner… Thankyou, and see you in 2022.
